The other week we stumbled upon a blog post by Paul "Bigtex" Bunker, who is a 50 year old outdoors enthusiast who discusses 'all things hiking' at his Blog www.appalaciantrails.com. It was his recent blog post about Why an Umbrella is Better than Rain gear that got our attention, and we have to say, we do agree with his arguments.

Another set of recent arrivals to our pages at Brolliesgalore are the Ladies' Wind-resistant Golf Umbrellas, which are available in three different colours. Golf umbrellas are a favourite of men due to their large domed canopies which offer excellent coverage and protection from the rain and wind, and although they are arguably unisex, their designs are typically rather plain (or corporate!) so tend not to appeal greatly to women.

Some of our customers might have noticed that umbrellas have been in the news the past week, in particular the Rainshader windproof umbrella that we looked at in a previous blog post last year.

It's a rather grey rainy day here in central Scotland and we really could all do with some cheering up when the weather is like this. It is certainly brolly weather out there, but weekends are also meant to be fun, so to add a bit of frivolity to the weekend we thought we would take a look at our fabulous range of frilly umbrellas.

At Brolliesgalore we continue to have more exciting new stock arriving this Autumn, particularly in our Art Umbrella lines. We see the return of an old favourite in this blog post with some iconic art umbrellas featuring the paintings of Jack Vettriano.

In our previous blog post we looked at umbrellas ideal for children of primary school age. All the schools go back in the rest of the UK over the next week or so and our schools here in Scotland returned a few weeks ago in August. So now that we are firmly into September, and summer is over, we can expect more changeable and drizzly weather as Autumn comes out way.

I thought we would take a look at more of our designer umbrellas in today's Brolliesgalore blog post. In particular, focussing on the delightful French stylings of design team Guy de Jean.

Well, we continue the parasol theme in today's blog too.
