What a crazy week this has truly been! Since last week we have now featured in three individual newspapers as a result of the Duchess of Cambridge using one of our lovely new Sa Paper Parasols during her recent trip to Singapore.
In a previous post we mentioned how we had been interviewed and photographed by the Edinburgh Evening News, and we showed the article (and lovely photographs) they took during the interview. That day we were also interviewed by the Sunday Mail and earlier this week the local West Lothian Courier interviewed us too.

The interviewers were friendly and we love the articles they have created. The photographs have also been fantastic and have shown off the Sa Paper parasols to stunning effect, even if Christine (Umbrellagirl) was a tad reticent about having her photo taken. Nevertheless, I’m sure you will agree the whole article and photos combine well to show off our brollies beautifully to a wide audience.
For those that are new here, the Sa Paper parasols are one of the latest additions to our shop at Brolliesgalore. Sa paper, the material with which the canopy is made, is handcrafted from the bark of the Mulberry tree. Depending on the parasol, some of the Sa paper parasols have flowers integrated within the paper. Sa paper also has a beautifully delicate texture, with a slightly translucent look, allowing some sunshine to filter through gently. And although they are not waterproof they are beautiful for summer weddings and for use as a sunshade. They also make a great interior design feature. They have a white cotton drawstring carry bag included in the price.

Now we are not sure if there will be a rush on these parasols in the UK, due to the weather changing and wetter days forecast for the next few weeks, but I wonder if the Duchess of Cambridge’s trend-setting will make this a hot feature for Spring & Summer trends in the new year. What do you think? Do you see these becoming more popular here in 2013?
It would be lovely to also hear from any of you who have you seen the articles. What did you think? Are you a new visitor to our site as a result of these articles? Do let us know in the comments section below.
All of the team at Brolliesgalore hope you have a lovely weekend!
